@supportivadachi Like of course you would think “tomboys” face no oppression, you don’t know what it is like living that life and constantly being coerced or forced into femininity against your will or being treated as lesser because of your refusal to conform.

@supportivadachi a lot of people assume because “tomboys” are theoretically accepted in society that means trans men face little oppression in their transition because manhood = privilege. this is many people’s perspectives because they have not lived that life to know that is not true lmfao

@_Purple_H4ze_ people like to overemphasize the man part and de-emphasize the trans part because they know bio-essentialism is wrong so they do gender essentialism instead. “I cannot be misogynistic to you because you are a man” (leaving out the trans part) seems to be the psyop playbook.

@supportivadachi it’s just really disheartening. calling explicit transphobia towards trans men “discourse” and “unserious” is just their way of saying shut up. yeah “detrans karkat” is unserious but the transphobia baked in the hc is serious and says a lot about how that person views trans men
