Andy Robertson going to Tottenham makes very little sense to me. Go and win another few League titles in Europe mate, follow Salah where ever he goes. Probably the assist record that he’s after, but I hate the thought of him playing for another Premier League club.

@ATLiverpool_ Unfortunately they do, he spreads rumours that covers every scenario and inevitably one comes true and he deletes the others and then proclaims to be the all seeing messiah. Kudos clearly worked for him and he continues to hoodwink the gullible!

Despite what Dominic says there has never been a season where 20 losses would be acceptable for Liverpool. And at any time in Liverpools recent history it would have been just as toxic if this happened.
Dominic King@DKingTelegraph

✍🏻 Goodbye to 2025/26, Liverpool’s most toxic season in a generation. There used to be a time when situations could be debated and criticisms could be listened to; now it’s simply unrelenting fury. It can’t continue telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

Let me start off by saying nobody deserves abuse but these constant articles about mitigating circumstances and reasons why they should give Slot more time do nothing but fan the flames more. Intentional or not you’re gaslighting the fan base.

@JoshLFC1909 Are you blind did you read the articles? No one is questioning the criticism, which is rightly deserved, they are rightly calling out the toxic abuse towards Slot which goes beyond critiquing his job performance! Be better!

The “online fans” are apparently the only ones who want Slot out… Are people deaf, did they not hear the boo’s at Anfield this season?

@davidlynchlfc You are a contributer to one of the most toxic and vitriolic accounts on this platform. Call Anfield Index out David! Your criticism is absolute valid and rings very true to what the likes of Anfield Index put out there and are complicit in driving the toxic agenda against Slot.

The replies to this post back up the piece perfectly. Criticism is fine, as is feeling Liverpool might need a change, but so much of this strays into outright abuse. You wouldn't be surprised if Arne Slot was a little withdrawn on the final day because he has seen this stuff.

'The level of opprobrium that has rained down on Arne Slot has, on many occasions, crossed the line. 'Liverpool fans have always had high standards, but Slot has come under attack in a way that none of his predecessors have done and it is hard not to wonder why the animosity towards him is so intense.' @DKingTelegraph looks at how things have turned so toxic at Liverpool ⤵️ telegraph.co.uk/football/2026/…

@phillymclfc You’rev 55 and this is the most concerned you have ever been. Give your head a shake. Go to the Souness era, the era that started the 30 year title drought. then the bang average Evan’s / Houliier stage, let’s then go to Rodger’s and Hodgson and then top it with Hicks &Gillet,

@TeleFootball No other manager was backed as he was in the transfer window and no other had to contend with a legend openly criticising him. Injuries we all know about however he has failed to adapt to get the best out of his team. Thats why. However the criticism has been way over the top

Today, I spoke with the President Herzog of Israel. I reiterated that the appalling treatment of civilians aboard the Gaza-bound flotilla was unacceptable, and that respect for human dignity must be upheld everywhere, at all times. I underlined the imperative of de-escalation in the Middle East, and the importance of a genuine resumption of dialogue among all parties. Progress toward peace and stability in the region must remain the clear, shared objective.

@SMXLFC The fact that Brentford could qualify for Europe and you had a former LFC player more interested in hugging it out with the opposition players and taking his merry ass time getting of the pitch so he could bask in his own self worth. Brentford fans have every right to be angry!

What I don't understand is if the club is being run by data needs, then what metric has given them confidence to prolong Slot's tenure?

@alimullaley The whole game was sentimental bull shit. It’s a game that could have horribly gone wrong for Liverpool and Brentford had the chance to qualify for Europe and you had a former LFC player wasting time hugging it out with former team mates knowing full well ehat a win would achieve

@KenrickMiller10 Spot on. The three all time great managers Shankly, Paisley, Dalglish played possession measured football. Miles away from the so called heavy metal football which was Klopp and only Klopps identity. Not Liverpools but Klopps.

Liverpool’s identity has always been built on heavy metal football , high-intensity pressing, relentless energy and chaos with purpose. Arne Slot has failed to instill control and structure. To truly recapture that Klopp-era fire and elevate the squad, Andoni Iraola is the ideal successor.Iraola has proven at Bournemouth that he can implement a high-pressing, aggressive, transition-heavy style that mirrors Liverpool’s DNA, while adding tactical discipline and adaptability. His teams play with intensity, fight for every ball, and dominate through sheer work rate , exactly the heavy metal spirit Anfield demands. If Liverpool want a manager who can hit the ground running and restore the roar, Iraola is the clearest and best fit. Liverpool fans ...YES OR NO ?
