@vauntedrevelrie Mental illnes just doesn't exist. Not in the form of a cáncer or hepatitis. Suffering or allucinating are human adaptations in a certain context. Then, when the context changes, those forms are not adaptative any more and someone calls It illnes. The dumbest explanation possible

Mental illness comes in two forms:
1. Bigotry.
2. The unnecessary and purposeful infliction of harm on others.
Any psych professional who is telling you that you’re mentally ill when neither of these things applies is gaslighting you.
We must confront that reality.

@1789_diderot It puts you more in the driver’s seat. You also tend to run into the realization if things are out of control that, “Hey, things are out of control. One of these sedatives might be helpful to slow things a bit to process.” And then psychiatrists/APRNs are typically happy to help.
