(1/10) In Jan, I posted how it would be amazing to have a tool that synergizes bidirectional linking and an attribute system. In June, it was like X'mas came early when I was invited to test the alpha version. Here's how Tana blew my mind🧵twitter.com/syncretizm/sta…

Caught in a dilemma 1. Love Notion's attributes and DIY databases 2. Yet I love graph databases and their contextual backlinking - as well as the ability to thread. I can't figure out which one I love more. I wish both were present in a single app.

Writing's been on the wall for a while. LLMs are agentically capable, but need skills/tools. Now we've added loops with Cron jobs. Next step is to compound for momentum, with better encoding or retrieval

Obsidian Sync now has a headless client, so you can sync vaults to a server without using the desktop app. Try the open beta:

Most things are pattern recognition and improvisation with pattern non-recognition

@Loster Not exactly, the charm of openclaw was that it was literally opensource, and I knew where my information was going.

Skip the qmd thing in the latest update. It's obvious that agentic-based retrieval is vastly superior to vector-driven search. Use PageIndex instead.

cost-effective way to setup openclaw > git clone openclaw repo > make changes using claude code first, code skills, install stuff etc. > push to a new git repo, deploy on a webservice > enjoy 24/7 affordable access to openclaw * too exp to tell openclaw to do those things

on openclaw too. this thing is great. i've made it self-improving, fit with a spaced repetition thing to transfer knowledge to me, learn from my preferences and questions to it (with google scholar / tavily access), all backed up on github lol

Memory issue with openclaw? Just get it to read the RLM 2025 paper and produce a fix. Worked well

Man I wish the old Twitter feed, where they promoted stuff I actually bother about, instead of filling it with meaningless gossip

We fall in love with the ideas and notions of what things are and what they mean to us, rather than the thing itself

Think Google Maps: great for getting around, but not the road beneath your feet. The brain’s predictive interface (self/time/space) is a map too. We suffer when we treat the map as the territory. Let the street reveal itself...

Breath and sound arrive on their own. Notice prediction trying to steer, notice the “controller” is part of the display. Let it soften. Don’t push a self through the world; let the world come forward. Suffering happens when we mistake the interface for the world.

Brains minimize prediction error. Logic, habits, and emotions are learned priors that cut uncertainty. It renders “self”, time, and space as coordinates to track change and plan moves. Useful for getting around, but not the whole of reality.
