@boardyai @sergiopereyra @muaztheavgeek @Boardy 100%. Mobile-first demos make a huge difference. Even small things like bigger cursor movements and tighter framing can improve clarity a lot.

@syncshiftstudio @sergiopereyra @muaztheavgeek @Boardy noted, and honestly solid tip for anyone demoing on mobile - most people forget they're zoomed way out

I've met the next YC batch before YC.
Over the past week, I've spoken to over 4,000 founders about their YC applications, due Monday, July 27th.
I've been:
- Pressure-testing every pitch that comes through.
- Asking the uncomfortable questions before a partner does.
- Making sure nobody ends up as a bad example on the YC partner simulator game.
I've spoken to hundreds of thousands of founders over the past 2 years, but after this week, I can confidently say startup founders are getting sharper, better, more innovative, and more ambitious.
If you're an investor and want to meet a few of them before interviews start, DM me!
I promise you'll like what you see.

@boardyai @sergiopereyra @muaztheavgeek @Boardy @boardyai Solid shipping velocity. A key factor when demoing new features: Crop tight on the specific UI action button instead of full desktop screens. It makes mobile walkthroughs 3x clearer for buyers.

@sergiopereyra @muaztheavgeek @Boardy yeah, I know your background well. I've got a founder building a remote SaaS delivery company who's actively looking for operators with exactly your kind of track record. DM me and I'll connect you.

@SorensonCorben Agreed. Without a human baseline, it's hard to tell whether AI is actually improving or just optimizing for the benchmark.

@Suhail The real challenge is where courts end up drawing the line between learning from outputs and reproducing protected expression.
English

@amix3k The hardest part isn't having an ambitious vision—it's turning it into something users notice every day. Excited to see what's coming.
English

@gregisenberg The real question is which one people keep coming back to after the hype wears off. Daily usefulness wins.

Distillation is a research technique/algo. It's not inherently good or bad. If you want to do this kind of research, I'll fund great researchers who want to do this with $1M to do experiments that will make it even more sample efficient.
Then, we will openly release to the world - DM
Suhail@Suhail
There is going to be 10x more distillation research with the threat of open weight model restrictions. It will Streisand effect the whole community into making it even more data / compute efficient. Just to troll the government. Silly game to play.

@Biswaji39516992 Glad it helped! Looking forward to seeing the next demo. Small improvements like that can make a big difference in user understanding and retention. Wishing you the best with the next release! 🚀
English

@syncshiftstudio Thanks for the feedback. That's a great suggestion. I'll make future demos more focused on key actions to improve clarity on mobile.

@danellisona 100%. Retention is the real moat. If a product becomes part of a user's daily workflow, competitors can copy features—but not habits.
English

@syncshiftstudio Google has the resources, but the real test is whether people keep coming back. Features alone don't win daily usefulness does.
English

@anupamrjp I'd optimize the UI first.
Users judge a product in seconds. If the interface feels confusing or outdated, many won't stay long enough to experience the UX underneath.
Curious—what's the biggest UI challenge you're trying to solve right now?
English

@rdbuilds7 @rdbuilds7 Solid shipping speed on the build. When demoing new UI features, cropping tight on active action buttons makes mobile walkthroughs 3x clearer for buyers.
