@nnepenthes yeah and i don't even think it's particularly pejorative in this instance to call it a beginner-friendly album, it's adventurous but somewhat easy to follow. i might be jumping the gun a bit but i feel like it has the qualities to be a genre classic, insane feat for a debut

new k wata is an easy AOTY contender: immersive, slinky dub/bass contortion that's equal measures mysterious and inviting. short span has been on a roll lately but this is by far their best. could see this being a great introduction to this side of music
