FLOTILLA DRAMA—Austrian police arrested a returning Gaza flotilla activist at Vienna Airport after he shouted “From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free,” a slogan widely viewed as calling for the destruction of Israel. Footage shows officers restraining him on the floor and dragging him from the terminal. Austrian police defended the arrest as “proportionate force.” The incident came a day after Spanish police clashed with and detained pro-Gaza activists at Bilbao Airport following their deportation by Israel after the flotilla was intercepted at sea.
