I love how open the Codex app is, you can run any model you want, even local. These are the only configs you need to use the app with Gemma 4 via Ollama.

@thsottiaux naming the chats in the project folder in a more logical way would be the best way to keep things organized.

Send us feature requests for codex in the form of an images 2.0 generated image. It makes it easier for codex to implement if we decide to go for it. Saw some good ones today already that codex is cooking on.

@DeryaTR_ All of this won’t matter if Elon wins the lawsuit. OpenAI would have to return to a non-profit model which would make it possible for the company to raise enough money to build enough AI infrastructure. This would essentially be the end of OpenAI.

Many people are probably not yet aware of it, but the convergence of GPT-5.5, Codex, Image-2, and OpenAI’s new agent capabilities marks a genuine level jump in the AI era. This is a significant seismic shift and its full impact will become more apparent in the coming months.

I trust people who can explain tradeoffs clearly. If everything sounds like the “right choice,” they don’t understand the problem yet and they don’t know what a tradeoff is.

How wonderful it is to build something useful with AI, and then, through an iterative process, new or better ideas emerge
