A story as absurd as it is legendary. The night I ended up winning Monarch’s personal watch… a $300,000 Jacob & Co Roulette. A few months ago, when Ossi was still Robin Hood (at least that’s how I saw him), my partner @CasinoScarface and I had several active deals with csgoempire. We had started managing part of their marketing and their streamers. I played, I advertised, I brought traffic, I delivered. So one day they invited us to meet him in person: meetings, business… and to finalize a bigger marketing deal. And before anyone asks: no, they didn’t pay for our flights or our hotel. The only one who acted properly was Scarface, who hosted us and took care of us like the people who invited us should have. After the meeting we went partying. And what happened during those eight hours… maybe one day, with several lawyers present, I’ll tell it. For now I’ll just say it was intense. But the real story begins afterward. When the night was ending, Ossi dropped what he himself called “the greatest marketing idea in the history of csgoempire.” While we were heading to his place, he proposed something straight out of a movie: A heads-up poker match. I would play 300,000 coins (that they owed me and still hadn’t paid). He would play his personal $300,000 watch. If I won, I got the watch. If I lost, I wouldn’t collect the 300k coins. Nothing in return. I know what you’re thinking: “If you won, shouldn’t you have gotten the coins and the watch?” In theory, yes. But considering those 300k coins were already owed to me and never arrived… and knowing how some payments worked… I accepted the offer as it was. (A massive red flag, but that night my brain wasn’t in audit mode). We arrived at his house. He had a full poker setup ready. Cameras, lights, a dealer—the whole production. The plan was to record everything, edit it into an epic video, and publish it as the greatest marketing piece the site ever made. I set two conditions: my face blurred and my voice distorted. Ossi agreed instantly. After setting everything up, the heads-up began. 100BBs. Silence. Adrenaline. And yes. I won. I won pretty easily considering the night we had just lived through. Ossi kept his word: he handed me the watch. And he even sent the box, papers, and invoice afterward. (For those who don’t know: without that, a watch like this loses half its value). At that moment he was still a man of his word. We had a good time, genuinely. Later he entered his dark phase, paranoia, distrust toward everyone. Something snapped; only he knows. Now comes the sad part. We had agreed to publish the video, but once it was fully edited… he decided he didn’t want to release it. According to him, “the video is trash.” Even though they were the ones who edited it. Personally, I think it’s amazing, and I’d love to share it with all of you. Maybe if he had won, the video would have been public since day one. Who knows. I still hope that if you ask loudly enough, he’ll let me publish it. And now the important questions: Should he keep his word and let me upload the video? Should he send me the 300k coins he owed and never paid? And later on, the $44,000 in skins that also never arrived? Only the Jewish gods know if he still has enough liquidity to pay such “small” amounts of money. And that’s the end of this tale… though if I shared the rest, my lawyers would kill themselves. Hahaha.
