The Ivors Academy Trust has launched ‘Composing to Visuals’ - a mentoring programme for early-stage composers who want to write Music for TV, Film and Visual Media. 4 participants will be selected to receive mentoring from established composers to work through a realistic brief provided by Sky. The programme aims to help early-stage composers: - Develop confidence in their creative abilities and knowledge and understanding of audio-visual media careers (e.g. How to get paid, how to get work) - Enhance their composition abilities through tailored feedback and support from their mentor - Expand their networks and contacts in the industry - Access a community of like-minded peers who are at a similar stage in their development The programme is funded by Arts Council England and is supported by the music team at Sky.
