@KahnTax @FFGames And still buy and enjoy FFG games. I just recognize and except the faults. The production is great, but some extra polish on the design would go a long way.

@KahnTax @FFGames Ambiguous rules. Overwrought minor rules that don't add to the game, but make it easy to miss or forget parts of them. Core game releases that are only part of the game and really needs the expansion to be fleshed out. FFG is not the only company guilty of these problems.

Fallout was an enjoyable solo experience. It has its issues and the usual @FFGames baggage, but it was still fun. With the reviews, I wasn’t going to bother. I’m glad I talked myself into playing it.

After my first play of Lisboa on Tabletop Simulator, I thought I would give the solo game a shot with my physical copy. I enjoyed it, but it pales in comparison to our 2 player game. The 2 player game was excellent @vital Lacerda @EagleGryphon

Taking a look at Spirit Island for the first time as a solo playthrough. I enjoyed the play, but I don't know if there was enough to get over my apprehension for solo and coop games. It's still set up for a few more plays this week to see if the game can change my mind.

@TabletopSim and @TabletopiaGames have been life savers during this time. There have been lots of learning pains along the way, but at least I'm having a few laughs with friends.

It's board game confession time. I'll go first: Deck builders are one of my absolute favourite mechanisms, but I've never played Dominion 😮 What's your board game confession?

@Efenesne @meeplelikeus I think the debt mechanic turns some people off. The more you run your engine, the more debt you accrue. It can be very unforgiving. For me, the game is all about agonizing choices between multi use cards, debt management, hand management, and a tight economy.

@meeplelikeus My biggest positive difference is London 2nd edition. I adore this game at a score of 9.5 vs the geek rating of 6.95. The biggest negative experience was Exploding Kittens with a 1 vs 5.792.

@HonestBoard 24 plays with 16 games. 4 games were new to me in January. I hoping for it to stay at 24 by Friday, because I really want to role-play this Friday instead. 312 logged plays last year. Role playing has been cutting into my board gaming the last couple months and I’m loving it.

For those who are counting/logging your plays what are you currently at for January and what do you hope to be at by the end of Friday?
