@moarmy Yes, we did bivouac and I wore my assault pack alone for a lot of the event.

@tacticoolgf So with all that I hope you’re not rucking all of it during the excursion. I’m assuming there is a bivouac and not a continuous fight. Coming from a light fighter

Milsim West was a three day excursion, so a day shorter than last year. Aside from a little less sustainment, the packing list was pretty similar - here it is!

@tacticoolgf Out of curiosity, why the aeg over a gbb?

@JcsArmory It's just a matter of ammo supply more than anything (and not wanting to buy more than necessary) - you're lucky if cadre ever gives you enough ammo to fill six mags at a time during resupply.

Another Milsim West has come and gone! We secured and held our main objective, but the enemy made us fight tooth and nail for three days, every step of the way. Many blanks and BBs were fired, few hours were slept (we even got shot in our sleep), and a good time was had by all.

This is a good reminder that community is everything, and I'm so incredibly grateful to be able to do cool things like this with people I have so much love for. 🖤

This time, we rolled deep with two entire squads filled exclusively with our friend groups, which yet again set the tone for the event - it simply would not have been the same without them.

A mismatch of identifying information on the 4473, including gender between that and your government ID, will deny you a sale. It's going to be really interesting to see how this sticks and if it's remotely even able to be enforced at all.

In many states, especially blue states, private sales may not be permitted without an FFL/background check, making this a perfect pincer attack by republicans and democrats on this particular issue. It may be now or never if you haven't already made your purchases.

Still, as I've been warning, the time for trans people to make firearm purchases was a long time ago. That window may now be closed outside of private sales.
