I don't really like how references became too on-the-nose in Sonic games. Like Tails unnecessarily mentioning the islands in Gens '24
I think the JP script for Gens handles them better. Remember, we had never seen Tails in Green Hill and CPZ was only in Sonic 2 ⬇️

"Play more games" argument kinda dumb for Sonic imo. There's a lot of fans in this community who CLOSELY analyze every minute detail to a Sonic game. They're just as valid in knowing what makes a Sonic game good or bad.

Idk why they insist so much in taking control away from the player and showing them cutscenes, I get they want these games to be played by 3 year olds but not to this extent, I think toddlers could understand how something like Project Hero plays given some time to experiment

Sonic is a healthy example and positive representation of a non-touchy/non-hugger person. He shows that you don't have to be touchy-feely or follow the most common manner of emoting to love.
Despite their near polar expressions, Sonic is love just like (for example) Amy is love.
