The Fast Money Trap: Why Most People Won't Escape it⏰
9 years ago, MMM was the hottest thing in Nigeria.
“Put in ₦10K today, get ₦100K next month.”
It sounded like free money.
Until it wasn’t.
People lost millions because they chased speed
over sustainability.
They thought wealth was a shortcut,
not a skillset.
But it didn’t stop there.
Over the years,
we’ve seen the same story repeat itself:
🚨 Get Help
:“Bring two people, cash out in days.”
🚨 Ultimate Cycler
:“₦12,500 turns into ₦50K instantly.”
🚨 Fast crypto “investments”
:“Just double your money in 48 hours.”
Different names ❌
Same desperation ❌
Same outcome ❌
This is why focusing on "fast money" is the quickest
way to lose money.
Anyways,
yesterday, I went viral here on X
173.5K views, 2K bookmarks, 2.4K likes {and counting}
Not because I gave out a “hidden millionaire hack.”
But because I told the truth:
Most people don’t want a business.
They want a jackpot.
So when I said:
❌ “Millionaire in no time” is a trap
❌ Chasing fast money = falling for scams
❌ Sustainable business beats speed every time
173K people paid attention.
Because deep down, yuo know it’s true.
People asked:
✔ What skill can I master faster than others?
→ Well i say a skill that makes others money.
Eg Copywriting, Sales, Paid Ads, Video Editing, etc.
→ If you can help a business grow, you will never be broke.
✔ What niche pays well but isn’t crowded?
→ High-ticket problems with low competition.
Eg B2B Lead Gen, Faceless Youtube Channels, AI Automation, E-commerce etc.
However, most people will STILL ignore these because they require work.
Meanwhile, that’s exactly why they pay well.
✔ What service creates repeat buyers?
→ Anything that solves a recurring pain.
Eg Full Stack Funnels. Paid Ads. Memberships etc.
The goal is to be able to sell once and earn over and over.
This is the difference between fast money and real money.
I mean think about it:
- The guy running a POS business makes cash daily.
- The person selling cleaning services to real estate firms is booked solid.
- The woman who sells Pastries eg @adaezennaji_ has a repeat customer base.
Are they having it easy? No ❌
Are they building sustainable income streams? Yes ✅
So you need to realize that Success isn’t about speed,
but more about strategy.
So again;
✅ Pick a high-value skill.
✅ Validate demand with real buyers.
✅ Sell to people who are ready to pay.
✅ Get testimonials → Build authority → Scale.
That’s just it.
It’s not flashy. It’s not overnight. But it works.
