The unfortunate side of people being interested in Japan is this -- the proliferation of this type of old wives tales, conspiratorial nonsense and outright grifting gruff.
With the advent of new translation algorithms enabling US-Japan net discussions at a new level, a shift might be occurring on X. Some American MAGA mega-influencers and election deniers are reaching out to their far-right, conspiratorial online counterparts in Japan through X. These interests today were trading theories and promoting "ID voting," mirroring US MAGA rhetoric over voter fraud, despite the lack of evidence.
While Japan’s handwritten paper ballot system is historically transparent, this digital "JAnon" ecosystem mirrors the "Stop the Steal" movement. Groups like the Netto-uyoku and fringe elements of the Sanseitō now frame the establishment as "globalist puppets." They claim elections are rigged without empirical proof, relying on ideological frustration rather than technical fraud. This cross-border exchange marks a new chapter in digital populism, where "rigged election" claims are exported to Japan, bypassing traditional media to find a home in local online echo chambers. It often boils down to "if we won, it was fair. If we lost, it was rigged." Worth an overview.
The strait was open. He starts a war. The strait closes. The world economy gets fucked. He doesn’t know what he’s doing, he gets bored, he declares victory, and he tells the rest of the world to open the strait, to clean up his mess. He’s such a prick. He’s such a destructive prick.
My fellow Americans, thank you for all the marvelous BBQ pictures. Your food culture is great.
But your president isn't. I gotta say he is an irresponsible piece of shit.
