Does anyone have lab notebooks implemented into their classes? In particular, i am thinking of adding this component to my zoology class. The end goal would be hand written/drawn notes usable on the lab practical. Is this feasible? #biology #teaching #professor #laboratory

@elle_carnitine My family is religious but my mom made sure I got the hpv vaccines when I was eligible at 17. I think she even had to pay out of pocket. She had abnormal pap smears for years and decided any prevention she could give me was best. I am very grateful for her for doing that.

My mother refused to get me the HPV vaccine when I was 12 so I printed a huge photo of a cancerous cervix on which I wrote in print THIS IS WHAT YOU WANT FOR ME, and I stuck it on the fridge. I’m pleased to say it was effective 😌

@Mammals_Suck Thanks! I kept it pretty informal (instead of a 5 point quiz, they will turn in their brackets) and they had a blast today in class. I may try to make it a more formal event next year, but it's my first year as an assistant professor and I'm just trying to survive 😅

@takeatoothbrush Some advice- have students work in groups, create a team name for their bracket & have them also do individual brackets- track all team standings, and have a leader board <--top 10/20 for the individual standings. Competition & trash talk is the hook...
