Struggling to reconcile the literature on the heritability / intergenerational transmission of #eatingdisorders spec. #anorexianervosa, and research linking maternal undernutrition to development of #obesity and metabolic disease eg #diabetes in offspring. Any input welcome?!

Hello does anyone have a chocolate chip cookie recipe that they swear by?

@JamesRamsden_ Though not technically a sandwich, I hope this was part of future @s_and_d_wich menu development. Hard times call for cheese on toast and dare say the other side of this many of us will still be dining on cheese on toast for the foreseeable future 🤷🏼‍♀️

So yes, yes, yes & yes (I could go on); #eatingdisorder rates will skyrocket. Isolation in #COVID19 will certainly save lives directly related to the virus. And will cost many others in a myriad of indirect ways which cannot be ignored.

If you have an #eatingdisorder these recent pandemic measures are undoubtedly going to cause some #anxiety for you. It’s ok. The ED gets loud when we are faced with something difficult to cope with. But there’s a few things I’d like you to remember....

We’re interested in a wide array of topics! Maybe you want to write about the relationship between gender & expertise with celebrity chefs. Or the way empires used food technology to inscribe colonial gender norms. Or maybe the gendered marketing of various meal-kit companies.

Some questions to consider: 🥕How have certain food technologies been gendered? 🍅 How have women’s contributions to food technology been rendered invisible in histories of science? 🍇How does class, race, and/or disability play into the way we are marketed food science?
