@JamesRamsden_ I know you've given many a valid explanation as to why you don't want to construct sourdough sandwiches at @s_and_d_wich BUT please say these baking ventures are persuading you otherwise?! Or can I just P-L-E-A-S-E have an off menu James Ramsden sourdough sarnie when you reopen?!

@pasiphae_goals Yes I don't deny the differences however looking for possible explanations to reconcile these competing hypotheses!

@cbulik @EDGI_NZ @PGCgenetics @uncceed I was wondering whether you might be able to direct me towards anything that might help me reconcile this tension (as a biosocial researcher, I am not as familiar with the genetic mechanisms)?

@LaurenJOConnell Congratulations! I couldn't quite believe this when I read it, having got to know you at the start of this journey and to think all that has happened in this space of time. I am thrilled for you, and I hope one day to read it!

I just submitted my thesis. And it feels good. (If also more stressful than anticipated). #phdlife

@JamesRamsden_ Though not technically a sandwich, I hope this was part of future @s_and_d_wich menu development. Hard times call for cheese on toast and dare say the other side of this many of us will still be dining on cheese on toast for the foreseeable future 🤷🏼‍♀️

So yes, yes, yes & yes (I could go on); #eatingdisorder rates will skyrocket. Isolation in #COVID19 will certainly save lives directly related to the virus. And will cost many others in a myriad of indirect ways which cannot be ignored.

If you have an #eatingdisorder these recent pandemic measures are undoubtedly going to cause some #anxiety for you. It’s ok. The ED gets loud when we are faced with something difficult to cope with. But there’s a few things I’d like you to remember....

We’re interested in a wide array of topics! Maybe you want to write about the relationship between gender & expertise with celebrity chefs. Or the way empires used food technology to inscribe colonial gender norms. Or maybe the gendered marketing of various meal-kit companies.

Some questions to consider: 🥕How have certain food technologies been gendered? 🍅 How have women’s contributions to food technology been rendered invisible in histories of science? 🍇How does class, race, and/or disability play into the way we are marketed food science?

Currently reading all about maternal-fatal and placental relations with the aim of bringing this to bear on the #eatingdisorders literature on experiences of women with EDs in pregnancy, and the 'cycle of risk' in transmission of eating disorders... reading suggestions welcome!
