President Paul Kagame was elected in 2000 and will be in office until 2034. Paul Kagame oversaw constitutional changes in Rwanda that allowed him to extend his time in office. In 2015, Rwanda amended its constitution. Here in Zimbabwe, we are not changing the term limits but sticking to 2 terms . We are only extending the years in a term

@vybertee101 We don’t kill citizens as a matter of policy. We have even banned the death penalty. Even when we had it, we stopped executing more than 20 years ago. Now to accuse us of extraterritorial killings is ludicrous!

We categorically reject the unfounded allegations being pushed around the internet regarding the tragic death of a Zimbabwean national in South Africa. We had absolutely no role in this incident. We extend our condolences to the family and express our full confidence in the South African authorities, who we trust will conduct a thorough investigation. As a nation grappling with one of the world's highest rates of violent crime, South Africa's police are experienced in such complex cases. We urge all parties to allow the process to proceed without harmful speculation.

I am a Zimbabwean and I get him. Those of us who still care about Zimbabwe do so not because it offers us anything, it's just that we desire to change what is there so that the future generations have a better shot at life than us. A lot of pple have moved on and have given up on the country. Remember that analogy of the brain and asshole. Sometimes the asshole wins not because of any merit but becaue it stinks things for everybody. The assholes have been winning in Zimbabwe!

He's the first Zimbabwean to win a UFC fight but he wants nothing to do with the country, or his family. He has blocked them all. "If I die, burn my body and throw my dust at Kruger National Park," Themba Gorimbo told me. "Nobody in Zimbabwe supported me, not even my family."

This is Moses Langa, the ZANUPF Provincial Youth League chairman for Matabeleland South, addressing ZANUPF supporters after invading Vubachikwe Gold Mine in Gwanda. The mine is owned by a British company and a Canadian investor. These are some of the things that he says in this video, speaking in Ndebele. “So us as youths, we are invading. We will take over and organise ourselves. So let’s work, not fight and use weapons against eachother, we earn from our sweat, no one should benefit where they don’t work. As you see me standing here in front of you, i have talked to the political elders/leaders and i have told them that this is what I am going to do in the province that i lead as the ZANU PF chairman. So today as the youths of Gwanda, i hope most of you are from here, we have lots of unemployed dependants but you guys are now working and can earn and make a living. There are ways we are going to admit others who want to come here and work in the pits, where you guys mine, whether its here or by the mountain, lets be organised all i want is order if you are working in groups of 20 let it be noted and also the write down, the group which you belong to, the leader and from where to where you will be digging, so that you can easily distinguish group A and B. We have to be organised, for whoever comes to check on the progress, that we as youth have achieved. There are methods we are using so that we permanently take over this place, and we own it. We will take over, work together and own it as Gwanda people.” Although Moses Langa initially tried to deny on Saturday that he was involved in this invasion, the local community that filmed what he was saying has now released this video. This is yet another example of how difficult it is to do business in Zimbabwe for both local and foreign investors because there is no rule of law. The police attempted to get to the mine and were pushed back by ZANUPF thugs, which means that these invaders, these political thugs, are above the law and are protected by political heavyweights as Langa claimed. And when we say this, they say we are lying. For all those who were in doubt, here is your evidence. You cannot expect foreign direct investment to come to a country where someone can just lose their assets and their investment just like that, and the police, which are supposed to enforce the law, are powerless to do anything about it. This is no longer conjecture. The evidence is there. These people are on the mine today looting while the matter is heading to court, with the owners hoping that they can get a spoliation order. But even that is not guaranteed because the judiciary in Zimbabwe is also compromised. That is why a lot of foreign investors are staying away from this country. It is not because of sanctions, as the government tries to claim. It is because of the behaviour of the government and the ruling party, where they can simply come and grab your assets and you lose everything. This mine is owned by a British company and a Canadian investor. They are supposed to be ambassadors for Zimbabwe, helping to attract other investors to our country. But how can they be goodwill investment ambassadors of a country that allows such lawlessness and takes away their assets?

@daddyhope Good people of Zimbabwe; since most of u on this twitter believe wat ever is being said by chinono, this is just nothing but some1 who wants to get paid for tarnishing the good image of Zimbabwe. Our country has good policies which support FDIs and local investment. Amanga lawa

Cde ED: Reconciliation With the Late RG Mugabe Took Place Before His Passing‼️ Cde ED Mnangagwa disclosed that he reconciled with cde Mugabe, before his death. The President explained that their fallout was not solely of their own making, but was significantly influenced by third parties who actively worked to spoil and damage their relationship. Despite these divisions, President Mnangagwa said reconciliation was ultimately achieved, allowing the two leaders to part on reconciled terms before Cde Mugabe passed on.

This idiot is a Zimbabwean traditional leader. They are called chiefs, and in most cases they are controlled by the ruling party, ZANUPF. He is blocking a road because there is a private school that was built many years ago in the community that he presides over, and he wants bribes. Because many of these chiefs live off bribes, they extort and blackmail people so that schools and businesses in their areas can continue to exist. This is one of the reasons other races call us as Africans, uncivilised. It is because of clowns like Chief Murinye. Children were on holiday and are now returning to school, to a boarding school. A traditional leader, who at the centre of everything he does should be encouraging education, is blocking the road so that children who have travelled two, three, even four hundred kilometres away cannot get in and may be forced to return to their homes. This is today’s Zimbabwe. When we talk about the brokenness of our society and the failure to adhere to the rule of law, this is exactly what we are talking about. This is not propaganda. You can see it with your own eyes. He is even threatening to throw snakes into the school grounds if the children go there. In other words, he is fighting against education. I do not understand how a community leader, a traditional leader, a chief, can fight against education. He is telling people that he does not care what Mnangagwa thinks, because Mnangagwa, who is the president of Zimbabwe, knows that he is the chief. He says this because Mnangagwa, his government, and his political party, ZANUPF, have given these chiefs enormous power in return for controlling the population in a way that favours the ruling elite. This is the Zimbabwe that we live in. When racists like Donald Trump call African countries shitholes, this is the kind of behaviour they are talking about. Where else in the world would a traditional leader block public roads? The tragedy is that the most powerful voices in our communities and in our country, the very voices that should be speaking out against this, are also terrified. They are afraid of losing what they see as their access to the feeding trough, so they keep quiet. As a result, an uneducated and delusional character like this chief will continue to exist and abuse power, because the voices in our communities that really matter, the ones that should be speaking out, have chosen silence. And so this is left to journalists and political activists to talk, and we can talk until kingdom come. But as a country, if we do not reflect on how this damages us as a nation, how it damages our reputation, how it shapes how other races see us, and how Zimbabwe is perceived in general, then we are doomed. We are truly doomed. No one will take seriously a country in which a traditional chief is given the power to stop children from going back to school, to deny them an education, and to block the building of a better society. The police are there, watching and doing nothing. They are powerless because their authority has been stripped away by ZANUPF’s political patronage system, which has emboldened these chiefs to commit illegal acts with impunity.
