WATCH VIDEO | Legal expert backs constitutional push to strip direct vote for president - Bulawayo-based legal consultant Sindiso Mazibisa says Zimbabwe’s Constitutional Amendment No. 3 is being judged through personalities instead of policy, arguing the real test is whether the sweeping reforms strengthen governance, curb instability, and serve the country beyond current political leaders. Speaking in an interview with journalist Lenin Ndebele, Mazibisa said proposals to shift presidential elections from a direct public vote to Parliament should be measured on whether they break toxic winner-takes-all politics, reduce election violence and create stronger accountability through easier removal of an incapacitated leader. He said Zimbabweans should scrutinise the substance of the reforms, not fixate on President Emmerson Mnangagwa or the proposed two-year term extension, pointing to South Africa’s parliamentary model as evidence the system can function in the region. @JudeIko @piersmorgan after all the blunders in the league cup final, you still stick to that crappp " cup keeper" mantra..That was the opportunity for Arteta to teach and show that he is serious about winning.. Winners are ruthless, have no time for babying someone's feelings

People should drive slow as they approach their residents, open gate with a remote before the drive way , as u keep the alertness of your surroundings, if u see a car following you drive pass your house, until it's safe to enter .... That 45 second of stopping for the gate to open is very deadly and dangerous....

@PSAFLIVE @OkayAfrica I'm glad he's suing. You cannot downgrade and devalue historical cultural significance to just Translation. He's now gained recognition and making money from Lebos production, he must use that money to pay up. It will teach people that you don't just talk and quote it's a joke

I had relatives in Cape Town who pretended to be Coloured all their lives and the parents kept it as a dark secret from the kids that they were Africans. It was my dad's aunt, my grandmother's younger sister and her husband. They moved there in the 50's. They came from the Free State and obviously could speak Afrikaans. The advantage for them was also that they were light in complexion. Oupa worked for Trasnet Railways and took a job in CT. When they got there, he realized that Coloured people had better living conditions and were paid better salaries. He so maar changed their surname, from Sebolai to Bolly. 😊 They got a house in Elsies River. He managed to pull the whole thing off somehow. Now, my dad was a priest, 'n Predekant in the former Dutch Reformed Church or NG Kerk. Also trained in Afrikaans at College, he and my mom and the rest of the uncles and aunts who were teachers, spoke fluent Afrikaans. So they used to visit the Bolly's for holidays and just played along. 🤷🏽‍♀️ My mom used to tell me crazy stories of how whenever they went to visit, the first day they arrive, the ladies would be locked in the bedroom and have their hair relaxed with hot stone and wore their doeks tied under the chin like Muslim or Coloured women did. The kids were not supposed to get even a slight hint that they were Africans. My dad was their favorite because our church was Dr. Alan Boesak's church, so they could boast that their Oom Solly is ook 'n predekant van NG Kerk. 😅 Now when I went to study in Cape Town, a young 18 year old, my dad asked them to look after me especially since my mom had just died. They were the ones who took me to the airport when my my mom died. So shem they loved me so much, but had subtle racist tendencies, especially their kids, who were much older than me. They were racist but, sadly, were dark skinned, darker than their parents, even darker than me. I used to look at them giving me attitude and I would get so bored and just think "mxm you, only if you knew." 🙄 The eldest son looked exactly like my dad, but he was darker. Whenever Oupa and Ouma came to fetch me from Res at Fuller Hall for Sunday lunch, once a quarter or so, they would be so nervous and walk on egg shells because firstly, I wore my hair short, always did till today, and I refused to speak Afrikaans, I didn't know it that well anyway, so I spoke to them in English or Sesotho. My poor grandmother would say "at least your hair is nice and short, please don't do braids like girls from Gugulethu and Nyanga". 😭😅 We spoke Sesotho in the car and switched as soon as we got home. When we get home, before we eat, the two of them will take me to the bedroom and pray in hush voices in Sesotho. I always found it funny and sad. 😅 Then I would be pampered with roast chicken, potatoes, seven colours, take some back to res, with rusks, sister cookies. My friends knew that whenever I went to Elsies, I came back with all kinds of goodies. They have since passed on. Their kids, we lost contact with them. They are probably old or it's the younger generation that is left. Wherever they are, they don't know their real background and chances are that they continue to think they are better than Africans because that's how they were taught.😏 I just remembered this experience when I watched the Adhoc Committee appearance of Hon. Fadiel Adams and his interaction with Hon. Sauls.

This video truly hurt me to the core. I grew up in Harare in the 1980s and early 1990s before I left the country to go abroad to study, and First Street was the pride of Harare. We would go to First Street to window shop, and to eat at the restaurants that were there. People went on their first dates there. We had shops like HM Barbour and Woolworths. It was just beautiful being there. But when I watched this video yesterday, it really broke my heart to see that our capital city has been reduced, by the economic circumstances that our country finds itself in. There were no cars allowed to be driven on First Street, but today kombi drivers are driving through it. It shows the political and economic decadence that has gripped Zimbabwe, and how poverty has trampled many of our people into submission. This is truly sad to watch. It is truly heartbreaking to watch. But as I always say, we can only watch until the day we decide that enough is enough. This does not affect people based on partisanship. It affects every Hararian and every Zimbabwean who took pride in their capital city. First Street is the equivalent of places like Nelson Mandela Square in Johannesburg, St George’s Mall in Cape Town, Oxford Street in London, and Times Square pedestrian zones in New York, iconic urban spaces where cars are restricted so that people, commerce, and city life can breathe.

@freemanchari Objectively, Camp Nou renov were financed through long-term loans. About $1.5bn was raised by FC Barcelona, to be repaid over decades from future stadium revenue, not cash or taxpayers. But since Zimboz want content, not context, the focus stays on the outcome, not the financing

Meet the OG Steph Curry: Michael Adams. Back in 1990-91, Adams shot more 3s (564) than 14 entire NBA teams that year. And that '91 Nuggets squad was an offensive juggernaut. Adams scored 26.5 PPG - good for 6th in the NBA. How much of an outlier was he? The top 12 scorers in '90-'91 were a stacked list that included Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, and Reggie Miller. Every single one made the Hall of Fame except Adams. The '90-91 Nuggets played a unique style that no one else did at the time. Play fast, launch 3s, and score in bunches. The Nuggets set the record for fastest pace in NBA history, which still stands today. They scored over 120 points 43 times that year, and keep in mind this was the early 90's. Unfortunately, their blazing style didn't result in wins. Adams launched 564 triples, but he shot just 29% on them. And the Nuggets didn't play defense. It resulted in a 20-62 season. Obviously, Steph Curry is the GOAT shooter. And no one can match his ruthless efficiency. But 35 years ago, one man boldly launched 8.5 triples a game. For reference, Steph only had 8.1 3PA in his 2014-15 MVP season. Some called Adams foolish. But he may have just been ahead of his time.

With Ishow Speed's African tour changing narratives about Africa, this African hater by the name Tariq Nasheed has also decided to visit Africa While Speed is showing the good things about Africa, this hater is already trying to potray Senegal in some type of way Why is he even allowed in Africa, when he is very xenophobic towards Africans in the US. He claims that black Americans are better than Africans Yet African migrants seem to thrive better in all metrics e.g families, employment Send this hater back to America
