AI won't replace curious people. It will replace people who stop learning.

A couple days ago, around 3 AM, a friend of mine asked me to pick her up and drive her home after a night out.
We've known each other through mutual friends for about 2 years
We've always gotten along well, but we've never been particularly close.
Took about half an hour to get to her place and we chatted the whole way there.
After we arrived, we ended up sitting in my car talking for about three hours. It flowed very well and the chemistry felt great.
We snuck in subtle compliments toward each other here and there.
Eventually she started initiating physical contact
- resting her head on my leg, interlocking my fingers with hers, place her hand on my jaw -

My husband came home unusually quiet after work. I asked him what was wrong, but he just smiled and said, "It's nothing."
A few days later, I found out his boss had offered him a promotion but there was a condition. The new role would mean longer hours, frequent travel, and barely any time at home.
That evening, he sat beside me and asked, "If you were in my shoes, would you take it?"

A friend of mine called off his engagement over a surname.
People still think he’s joking whenever he says that.
He isn’t.
They’d been together for almost five years.
They’d already booked the venue, paid deposits, and both families had started preparing for the wedding.
Then one evening, while they were sorting out some documents, she mentioned she wasn’t planning to take his surname after they got married.
She said she’d built her career with her current name and wanted to keep it.
He asked if she’d always felt that way.
She said yes.
He told her he wasn’t expecting that because she’d never mentioned it before, but they left the conversation there.
Over the next few weeks, it kept coming up.
