I think there's a Taylor Swift song for every situation and feeling except for the experience of having an abusive mother, thanks to Andrea for being an angel on earth.

A moment of silence for Laura Lee's parents. Campaigning perhaps the hardest to find the girls and their daughter was dead from the beginning. That would test anyones faith.

It's so funny to me that Mary Shelley, her husband, John Polidori, and Lord Byron had a competition to see who could write the best horror story and she wrote fucking Frankenstein. Imagine losing a competition that badly. Imagine just doing a silly little competition with your friend and she basically invents a new genre and creates one of the most famous characters in fiction. Imagine being proud of your little story and then she shares one that people will still read every day in 200 years. Imagine doing a writing competition with your wife and she becomes so recognizable that you'll always be known as Mary Shelley's husband

I do love how much this song makes everyone uncomfortable, because it should. That’s the entire point. I’ve said it before, I genuinely love Eldest Daughter. I just really wish she changed the ‘I’m not a bad bitch and this isn’t savage’ line.

@thekonyjen but the problem is that those teachers get fired. parents complain, districts terminate them. teacher education programs make this very clear. does this always happen? no, of course not, but the risk is very high, and it is unfair to attribute that to teachers making 30k/year

I do take some comfort that no matter what no album will be as disappointing as solar power was to me. It was so bad I stopped being a Lorde super-fan. Virgin while better didn’t help matters that much either
