MW is designed to be a floor for *entry-level* workers. You must be careful putting your thumb on the scale in a global marketplace, especially in the age of robotics and AI. In California, we order our meals in restaurants from Apps, and you pick your food up on paper plates at the kitchen counter because restaurants can't afford servers and dishwashers. Those jobs are GONE forever. $50 an hour in California will cause massive, entry-level job destruction... and investment in robotics.

Here's a story: Customer anticipates the need to send email notifications at scale for his service. Signs up with @SendGrid. Tests it, it works. On day 1 of golive @SendGrid decides to put the account in review. Emails stuck in 'processing.' Nobody gets emails. No support. Thx.
