Thinking about how people in altered states often experience psychometry - the ability to sense energy, history, emotional residue of objects. Or at least they believe they do. Wondering if there are any studies around this @drdluke do you know?

There are many sophisticated models that describe how the world works, but the universe is ineffable, so they all ultimately fall short.

@RCarhartHarris I don’t know what you mean by ‘waves’, but I always thought it’s because the lords of karma want us to have the opportunity to see our deeply rooted misapprehensions clearly so that we can have more clarity about the nature of reality and the self.

Is time-perception impaired under psychedelics because waves lose their directionality, e.g., (top-down) traveling waves decrease?
