@DrBritWilliams Those little compression bags do wonders. Of course, I still dress like an overwhelmed uni student. So...that helps. The only shoes are the ones on my feet and I take only the amount of underwear I will need*. *this has horrified a lot of more disaster prep packers over the years

I will never forget the looks people gave me or the mean notes people left on my car when I was a broad-shouldered 20 year-old who used a handicap parking pass at my college dorm so I wouldn’t have to park in the student lot and walk 2 miles after my dialysis appointments. Never.

It’s ableist to ask someone why they have a mobility aid or a disability parking placard. Disabled people don’t owe you their medical history.

Ugh--REJECT from Harlequin Heartwarming. 😩 However, the upside? A detailed, specific itemization of the reasons it wouldn't work for them and suggestions for future work. If this is how they normally write rejection letters? Five stars!

I swear to god I am going to make pamphlets will all the major, minor, & possible symptoms of perimenopause/menopause to hand out to women. Because we are not told about these things & doctors don’t warn us or have these discussions. Why is it up to women to inform one another?

@Karnythia My great-aunt ran away with an 'Italian' when she was young and was never heard from again. My great-grandfather went to work in England and never came back. I'm not that interested in my ancestry, it's probably pretty boring, but I do wonder what relatives would turn up.
