As part of the ongoing tour, the CS, accompanied by Board Chair Hon. Regina Ndambuki and CEO Sammy Naporos, visited the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency (TAWWDA) offices. The visit provided an opportunity to engage with directors and management to discuss on going projects

The Cabinet Secretary, Eng. E. Mugaa, was accompanied by Board Chair Hon. Regina Ndambuki, directors, the Tanathi Water Works Development Agency CEO, Sammy Naporos, and a team of Tanathi staff. Several components of the project were visited during the tour.

The Cabinet Secretary for Water, Sanitation, and Irrigation had a packed schedule during his visit to the Mwala Cluster Water Supply Project, engaging with stakeholders and inspecting progress on the ground.

Mwala Cluster Water Supply Project The project aims to deliver approximately 6,600 m³/day of potable water, serving an estimated 99,460 people by the year 2041. The project commenced in December 2023 and is expected to end in June 2026 of KES 1,708,770,354.46 (inclusive of taxes)

The world united to celebrate World Water Day. The event was at Mwerungondu, in Meru County. It brought together leaders,and the community to champion the importance of water. The Board Chair, Hon.Regina Ndambuki, Directors, the CEO, S. Naporos and staff made the day a success.

Mutyambua Dam is a small reservoir (earth/sand dam) located in Makueni County, in the eastern part of Kenya. It serves local communities mainly for water storage, domestic use, livestock, and small-scale farming/irrigation.

2. The visit forms part of the leadership team’s commitment to strengthening project oversight, enhancing water infrastructure, and accelerating reliable water access for communities across the region.
