this is a market many are trying to capture. these companies are colloquially called "zombies" and a decade of hard work won't pay off for the founders and the team it's difficult to retain talent in these companies motivation of high performers goes down quickly and turnover is high a virtuous positive spiral during growth, becomes a negative spiral as soon as the growth stops most of investors must have written off the investment or would not care much about the company they want only one thing - returning their invested capital the deals and the exit options will become increasingly limited as companies continue to churn customers while running it with a skeletal team
