Almost half the researchers at RareSkills are from Nigeria. If you can’t find good talent there, it’s a skill issue with recruitment, not a country problem.

Calling all Solidity and Rust developers! Join @offchain and @RareSkills_io for a 4-week Stylus Bootcamp starting October 20th Learn how to: - Use the EVM + WASM runtime - Run CPU-heavy Rust logic on-chain - Price options and simulate models directly in smart contracts
RareSkills@RareSkills_io

Announcing a new bootcamp in collaboration with Offchain Labs (the team behind Arbitrum): Rust Contracts on Arbitrum Stylus You'll learn how to create CPU-intensive smart contracts that leverage the EVM + WASM runtime in Arbitrum Stylus. The EVM + WASM runtime gives you orders of magnitude higher gas limits, allowing you to run algorithms you would not normally be able to use on-chain. In this class, we will run non-trivial financial models on-chain that require tens of thousands of iterations (and heavy math) to converge properly. This added capability unlocks a new design space. For example, we'll learn how to price options on-chain when volatility isn't constant (an area where the simpler Black-Scholes model fails). This is not a beginner course. You must already be intermediate+ in both Solidity design patterns and Rust programming. You also need a basic knowledge of finance and statistics. It would also help if you've bought or sold options before. 😎 Price is $1,500. However, if you already contribute to the Arbitrum ecosystem or plan to launch a project there, sponsorships are available! Time commitment is 5 hours per week. Link next.

When you don't have much money, the best investment you can make is in yourself and your knowledge. Here is something I personally support - RareSkills Bootcamps on Solidity, ZK, Rust, Uniswap, Circom. 100% worth it🫡

On June 18, RareSkills will launch our Uniswap V3 Bootcamp. In this 9-week course, you'll get very deep into the core contracts and learn how every mechanism works down to the extreme detail. The bootcamp initially treats the very math-heavy libraries like FullMath and TickMath as a black box, but students interested in learning how those work will have the option to learn them at the end. This is undoubtedly the most hardcore and advanced learning experience you can get in the EVM or DeFi — something only the institute that made ZK math accessible to everyone could pull off. You need to be fluent in Solidity, have a basic knowledge of EVM assembly (Yul), and be comfortable with algebra to participate. Our lectures are highly interactive where the students and teachers challenge each other in real-time, so make sure you can attend at the scheduled times. This is a limited run bootcamp and only 10 attendees will be accepted. Course page in the reply.

Our flagship Solidity bootcamp has been overhauled. It's a more manageable 11 weeks now instead of 22, and we've optimized it for engineers and people beginning the auditing journey who have full-time jobs. The bootcamp focuses on the fundamentals that you need to understand large DeFi codebases, specifically: - Drilling intermediate Solidity syntax - ERC-20 integrations and usage patterns (staking, flash loans, etc) - Math - Vaults and vault-like contracts - A deep dive into Uniswap V2 We also restructured the assignments to be a lot of little problems with instant feedback instead of long-form projects that require the overhead of breaking them into chunks. We removed the EVM content, but don't worry. We'll have a separate bootcamp for that to be announced later. Link to the syllabus in the reply.

At RareSkills, we provide lots of free practice problems for you to learn a subject of your choosing. These include: 1. Solidity Exercises for Beginners 2. Solidity Riddles (CTFs) 3. Yul Puzzles 4. Gas Optimization Puzzles 5. Huff Puzzles 6. Uniswap V2 Puzzles 7. Zero Knowledge Puzzles 8. Noir puzzles Here's how you can maximize your learning with them. A. Do the puzzles multiple times, but spaced out. A common fallacy among learners is "I solved this before, so I don't need to solve it again." The process of studying, forgetting, and revisiting is how you develop a long-term memory of something. If a subject is very important to you, complete the practice problems, don't touch them for a week, then come back. B. The first time you do the puzzles, look up the answer after you struggle for 15 minutes with no progress. The puzzles are supposed to show you things you don't know and serve as a guide for what to study -- as opposed to binge-watching or binge-reading tutorials. C. You can use LLMs to give you a hint if you don't want to look up the answer. D. In your first attempt, do the puzzles in order. Do them in a random order on your third pass. Some of the puzzles a grouped by "theme" to help you get momentum on a topic, but to really master something, you need to be able to whip up a solution without a warmup. These are all free on our Github: github[.]com/rareskills
