@croppypastea @clawedranghae_ Are you sure the trend made it a staple food? Or was it already a staple food is the reason it became a trend in the late 2000's? Because history is there, more than 400 years since the food was introduced in the philippines.

@taokami3 @clawedranghae_ So let me circle back and answer you as a matter of fact. No, it's not a staple food for Filipino commonfolk for centuries.

@taokami3 @clawedranghae_ I agree with you. Still was never a staple food before early 2000s. Are you Chinese or half Chinese? Maybe in your circle oo, not for the commonfolk.

@taokami3 @clawedranghae_ If you claim that Siomai became a staple food because Hen Lin is all over the place, people will associate Siomai with them. The fact that no one will ever mention Hen Lin first in a Siomai conversation means that they aren't the reason its a staple.

@croppypastea @clawedranghae_ ??? We're talking about siomai the food stuff here, not the brand. I'm arguing that siomai THE FOOD STUFF has been staple to filipinos for centuries. NOT THE BRAND. ang slow puta

@taokami3 @clawedranghae_ Ask any person outside what brand do they think they hear the word Siomai. I guarantee you no one will say Hen Lin. Hen Lin is not and was never staple food.

@croppypastea @clawedranghae_ Yeah, because like I said Henlin has been around far longer, in again, gas stations and grocery stores. Who do you think master siomao and siomai king copied?

@taokami3 @clawedranghae_ I'll tell you when. Siomai's popularity skyrocketed during the reign of Siomai House and Siomai King at nearly every MRT station. At the time, Siomai is priced extremely well at 25 Pesos where Workers and even students can easily afford it.

@taokami3 @clawedranghae_ Really? Siomai is mostly found in Chinese restaurants in the 1990s to early 2000s. It's not a staple in the sense that you can more get it virtually at every kanto

Alam niyo ba na ang bugok na tatay Digong niyo ang dahilan sa pagdurusa ng mga Pilipino sa mataas na presyo ng langis? May VAT na nga na 12%, dinagdagan pa ng excise tax per liter! Tax-on-tax! Salot talaga sa Pilipinas yang mga Duterte. 🤮 #DuterteLegacy
