@Jay___Sterling @Jay___Sterling glad you're enjoying the electric buses and the Tapngo system. We're excited to be making commuting in Ghana easier and more convenient for everyone.

So here's how the E-Bus works: You can track buses and top up your card using the Tap n Go app - it even shows you buses ahead and behind(they are currently having software update, so the GPS tracking is a little messy at the moment). The card itself costs Gh¢10, which breaks down into Gh¢7 for the fare and Gh¢3 for the card, and you can buy it right on the bus from the conductor. The fare is a flat Gh¢7 no matter where you get on or off. The first bus leaves Adentan for Accra at 5am and arrives in Accra between 5:30-6am. The next bus follows 10-15 minutes later after the first has left Adentan. At the Accra terminal, the bus waits for 5-10 minutes before departing, whether it's full or not. Luggage rules are pretty strict - basically, if it doesn't fit on your lap, it's not allowed. And no fish or anything smelly, please we want to enjoy the AC well😂. Apparently,this is just a pilot phase right now with 10 buses, but there are 90 more waiting at the port to be cleared. The pilot should wrap up in about 3 months, and after that, they plan to roll out to other big cities like Kumasi, Takoradi, Tamale, etc. You can flag down a bus when you see it, by the way. Oh, and operations were halted after the elections, but the new government gave the green light to start again after doing their assessment. PS: yesterday when I used my card on the POS machine, it showed Gh¢6 deduction, but I was told today it was actually a mistake.

Guys follow @tapngogh, they are the operators of the E-Bus system. They’ve updated their app so you can track the busses. I can see busses near by right on my phone.
