Here's some education for incels: 1) Minimum wages in India have been historically calculated using the '3 consumption unit' norm - 1 wage earner (1 unit), spouse (0.8-1 unit), 2 children (0.5-0.6 units each). In other words, it is a 'family wage' NOT just a payment to the person working. 2) The Supreme Court in 1992 added 25% to the minimum wage, to cover for education, health, recreation, and provisions for marriage and old age. Again, this is 'family wage' norm, and does not belong to the wage earner only. 3) The 7th Central Pay Commission (2016) also used the '3 consumption unit' formula to arrive at the ₹18,000 basic pay for central govt employees, explicitly basing the calculation on a family wages. Men do not get paid for their work alone. They also get paid for the family system that allows them to come back to work the next day. So, the very least a wife should get is 25% of the salary, so that they have direct control over how it should be spent. It is also important because women who do not go out to work (but do 2x as much unpaid labour at home) are made to feel that they must ask before they buy anything. It is the basis of a million crude jokes about how the husband works and wife spends. That is why the money MUST go DIRECTLY to the homemaker wife's account.
Aunindyo Chakravarty@Aunindyo2023

Every homemaker should get 25% of their husband's salary credited to their account directly by their husband's employer. Directly credited, removing their husband's agency from this. This should be made a law.

@gulaab_ali_ It’s in those very spaces that they feel a sense of identity(hindutva). It’s those direct cash transfers that give them even a little relief. And these are the very people you abuse! The India of your dreams is just as dark as the one that exists today for working class

@gulaab_ali_ We, the privileged class, built our lives by breaking their backs and now we have the audacity to ask them why they’re walking hunched over! you expect them to make informed choices, to stay away from reactionary politics! How are they supposed to stay away???

Met Mukesh years ago in Jaipur. Such an incredible trajectory. He taught himself editing, VFX, built his own language from scratch. Coming from one of the most caste-bound pockets of Rajasthan, battling discrimination and financial situation of family. His growth, fearlessness and stand for what is correct is remarkable. In solidarity.

@smh_fakeass I love Pujarini to bits. She is probably the only influencer that has been able to influence me in all these years. I am way older than her. But, I want to correct you here about her caste. Pujarini hails from an UC family

After the witch-hunt on Lifeofpuja I've realised that bahujans are supposed to be clownish characters for Savarnas, like Dolly Chaiwala. People would laugh at you and feel better about themselves

Why should the same failed voices keep deciding our future? I want more marginalized women to reclaim space from these urban Savarna liberals. More power to Lifeofpuja!! She’s very inspiring! 🥳

They aestheticize rebellion, profit off “politics,” and still speak over the very people they claim to represent. Marginalized communities especially Adivasis and working-class people have paid the price for these repeated “movements”

I want more marginalized women to reclaim space from these urban Savarna liberals. Its gotten repetitive and overhyped for far too long. If people choose to disengage stop watching their cinema, unfollow, and not amplify they’ll just become irrelevant!
