History will judge the free world harshly for failing to repulse Russian aggression forcefully from the start in 2014. Obama and Biden were too cautious, and Trump has been perversely on the wrong side washingtonpost.com/opinions/2026/…

By aligning the United States with territorial aggression by a dictator, he betrays both the promise and noble achievements of Constitutional freedom. Europe, please spare us this shame until we can right ourselves. washingtonpost.com/world/2025/11/…

Trump signs bill directing Justice Department to release Epstein files These files are an X-rated version of the 1971 Pentagon Papers. The victims and the public need a modern Dan Ellsberg to leak them. washingtonpost.com/national-secur…

If @Lizcheney_4 runs for her old seat in Wyoming next year, under any label, it would be a shining barometer of resilient Constitutional history. @USHouseNews

Thank you for constructive thinking. Requiring compact districts is a big step forward. Objective math could also maximize 50-50 voting districts since the prior census. We the People could thus empower voters instead of the incumbent officeholders. nytimes.com/2025/08/12/opi…

A government based on We the People should protect voters, not officeholders. Surely the long-term solution is to maximize the number of 50-50 districts. That can be accomplished with the same math that gerrymanders districts now. washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/…

Two neglected questions: Why did MAGA ever cultivate deep state conspiracies about Epstein? His skirt-chasing palhood with the future prez was hardly a secret. Also, why does a newsmaking revolt not include MAGA's professed Christian moralists? washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/…

@NCAA tries desperately to limit rights for college athletes by denying that students can be "employees." But millions of students are employees outside the classroom already. Check the Census data. Colleges don't confiscate their earnings. washingtonpost.com/sports/2025/06…

Flagellation is catnip for our media. Parties don't jettison incumbent presidents easily (LBJ '68). Democrats functioned well through an upbeat transition. They lost a close election on immigration, inflation, and cultivated cynicism. @jaketapper @CNN washingtonpost.com/opinions/2025/…

Schumer is not an eloquent voice for Democrats, but he was right not to shut down the government. It would give Trump extended, explicit authority to determine what's "essential." Dems would have even less leverage. Red hots are not always wise. washingtonpost.com/politics/2025/…
