Seems more like he just can’t pay the rest(half is paid mind you) back right now, that happens, life happens. relative to other pro players, he’s a Lannister. Give him a medal.

1/x I deeply regret doing business with David Peters. Last summer David purchased a piece of the 50k plo WSOP that I won. I paid him out a large amount, in cash, a couple days later. A few months later I’m at Triton Jeju and David buys a piece of my two main events (nl & plo)

The pool hall scene in Carlito’s Way is one of the most suspenseful set pieces in all of crime cinema. However, when the studio executives saw an early cut, they thought it was too long and asked Brian De Palma to cut it back - but instead, he made it even longer. The writer of the film, David Koepp explains…. “We showed an early cut to the studio, and one of their notes was that the pool hall scene seemed too long. I was talking to Brian about it, and I said, “what do you think about this note that the pool hall scene is too long? I don't think they're right about that.” And he said, “No, no, no, they're absolutely right, they're absolutely right. But what they mean is that it's not long enough” And I thought he was just being cheeky and defiant. But actually, no - I mean, he knows suspense so well, he felt that it was just that he had failed to set up a little bit of the geography of the suspense - which is of course, his mastery. You know - the guys in the bathroom, the door is slightly open, the other guys over here - all that great establishment of where everybody is, and how close they are to each other, and what all the stakes are. The suspense only works later if that stuff's set up properly before. And so when he went back and furthered some of that coverage and expanded the front of the scene a little bit, the scene was nail biting and great. And they saw another cut and said, “much better shorter, much better shorter.”

@scott_seiver @LexVeldhuis HAD he had aces, she would be legendary. Money is money, being a legend much much more.

There is something so beautiful (disgusting) about this innate thing in humans to be so confident on things they don't know. SO much arrogance and hubris from so many people that have no reason to have ever earned any respect. Everyone loves an opinion, everyone loves feeling smarter than someone who is clearly smarter (and far more talented) than them, if only for a moment. I'd have to see every single stack and also really need to be there in feel to comment, but I guarantee this at worst is an unbelievably close spot, and KK here is wildly closer to anything than QQ is, but a lot of armchair idiots would have said the same had she folded QQ vs QJ JJ and TT. All the conversation I've had to see about this today is truly a microcosm of everything I find so sickening and disgusting with our world today. Just the confidence of people that know absolutely nothing and the inability to ever realize it.
