Negativity in online/creative spaces is becoming much worse lately. Anything you create will be exposed to levels of scrutiny that no human is "trained" enough to bear. Constructive criticism is non-existent when people can instead just laugh at it and get thousand likes.

passion used to mean you criticized things because you loved it so much, we used to honor the critic because he pushed the craft further. now because the artists are on social media and promote within their own bubble, we honor the sycophant. very sad.

it's genuinely concerning how many "aspiring artists"/creatives online are so quick to say nothing but overly harsh remarks towards other people's passion projects for no reason other than to be negative. Has the online space warped so much we forgot how to treat fellow artists?
