Yes it's probably a good business decision. Good basketball decision? Time will tell. Not buying the idea that he's so easily replaceable at all.

@Arifromanhattan Mitch is worth going into the second apron. Was surprised to see @CPTheFanchise crashing out over this. Plus he’s a starter in Boston. He probably would have taken the deal even if the Knicks were stupid enough to match that ridiculous contract. Word to Melo.

Another thing knicks fans should consider before blaming our “cheap owner” who just paid 30mm to get rid of thibs and pay another coach is that by staying under the second apron this year it allows the team to have the flexibility to trade their 2033 unprotected first round pick next year.
