@MEM_MVP @Brinkhoff_C Easy is great. W365 is great. But some large scale organizations need more to meet the needs of their users, business or regulators. We allow them to adopt W365 (or AVD) for more use cases.

@tberger80 @Brinkhoff_C In all seriousness Windows 365 is so freaking easy we don't need a management plane or anything else Citrix brings to the table. (other than published apps possibly)

@tberger80 @Brinkhoff_C That's all marketing fluff. What do they REALLY do? After going through a $12M failed Citrix deployment once I'd be hard pressed to ever deploy anything Citrix again. Worst support of any company I've ever dealt with.

@mrhaapala @gunnarwb Indeed. Citrix bought a lightweight Linux-based OS that can run on purpose-built TC hardware from HW partners (unicon.com/hardware-partn…) or on existing (repurposed) computers. Pretty cool for rapid onboarding of contractors too (eLux portable on USB key).

@gunnarwb It is happening, at least in Nordics.
Nothing prevents customers to use TC hardware with Unicon, many switch to it after the old workstation hw broke down. It’s a software business, not hardware, people use what they have.. as not all can replace hw immediately due budget cuts.

That's an interesting approach. Lots of partners solved this already. Citrix did their own hardware w/ WS Hub. Now we have VDI Blaster/Stratodesk/iGelOS with a Citrix brand.
I've just never seen repurposed at scale with a better ROI than thin clients. But color me interested.
