Xi: "My answer [for improving the China-US relationship] is: exchange! Exchange, cooperation and eventually accommodation. [...] We should seek common ground while setting aside minor differences to build more consensus." You cannot watch this and not be astonished at the difference in tone between Beijing and Washington. Basically like a patient grandpa addressing a teen in rebellion. One keeps screaming "I hate you!" and the other is like "let's talk it through, I'm sure we can understand each others".

@RnaudBertrand Glad to see you reference the Maritime Silk Road -- it is still not as well known and understood as the overland Silk Road, but probably was much more important. I have a lot of schoalry research on the Maritime route if you're interested.

Visiting the South Sea (Nanhai) God temple in Guangzhou. It was built during the 14th year of the reign of the 1st emperor of the Sui dynasty (594AD). It is the greatest and best preserved of China’s four sea god temples. It was also the starting point of the Maritime Silk Road.

@AndyFidel_ @FastCompany The supposed value of bigness and scale is what hijacked the Internet -- now it's ready to do the same for AI. Small is not just Beautiful, it is Better by objective measures
