Day 4 included a panel discussion between our #GDAR2024 PIs who shared their GDAR journeys, including learning new methods and making transdisciplinary connections. Its not always easy in a large network but, as aptly summed by @vickilambert , "the challenges are opportunities"

We finished the day talking about how we can improve collaboration with our own stakeholders who have helped to steer GDAR from the very beginning. This past year we have worked with 140+ stakeholders representing policy makers, NGOs, communities, and researchers #GDAR2024

Our annual meeting at GDAR included a deep dive into sense-making from years of research since 2017. A complex but rewarding task! A key point that emerged: the importance of improving how we communicate science to the world. #GDAR2024 #Research #ScienceCommunication

🛣️ We also analyzed sidewalk materials, balancing aesthetics and practicality. Many older adults, for example, prefer asphalt, which offers more grip than the current tiles.
