@LynAldenContact Running a full ETH node is easy if with resources. Almost zero maintenance except new version update occasionally. People who use Infura might be Dapp developers. What they need is a node rpc connection. For them, Infura is better choice than by themselves in terms of cost & time

In a previous debate, Ethereum investors were insisting to me that Ethereum nodes are easy to run. If that's correct, why does Infura highlight how difficult it is, and have so many customers? For folks technical enough to launch a dapp, shouldn't running nodes be trivial?

Ethereans: I invite you to ELI5 why relying on Infura is different than, say, a SaaS company relying on AWS or Azure. In that sense, what is the key benefit of making something as a dapp vs just making it as a regular app? infura.io/faq
