Today at the World Governments Summit in Dubai, Rwanda’s digital gateway, @IremboGov, was honored with the 2026 GovTech Prize for "Best Government Service in the World." The award was presented by H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, recognizing the Government of Rwanda’s visionary digital transformation agenda and its success in providing citizens with seamless, reliable access to public services at a national scale. The milestone was celebrated in the presence of H.E. John Mirenge, Ambassador of the Republic of Rwanda to the UAE, and Estelle Kayitesi Indriets, Senior Manager for Policy and Partnerships at Irembo.

Earlier today, we hosted Dr. Michel Rogy, @worldbankgroup Regional Director for Digital and AI, alongside the CEO of @RISARwanda and representatives from @RwandaInfra, for a courtesy visit and discussions on the principle of “Zero Trip, Zero Paper.” The exchange focused on Mass Service Digitization, how AI can act as a catalyst for public service transformation, and what it takes to build digital public infrastructure that enables governments to deliver efficient, scalable services for citizens.
