You should be writing compelling stories w/ useful info & context. Not to mention interesting photos, video or other visual elements, not included in an AI summary. If you’re not consistently giving users a reason to click to the full thing, you’re doing it wrong.

I reserve the right to change my mind on this, but I’m not worried about the Google search AI summaries thing. For local news, those not clicking thru probably were just going to read the headline and snippet anyhow.
