@bookdepth Think a tech specialist investing in tokens as if they were equities, like a Tiger cub. It's there, it happens. But it's rare. 40% of Crypto Hedge funds are long only (essentially retail) another 40% are HighFreq. All long only are in deep drawdown, and many HF since 10-10.

smart tax. A valid concern about taxing the rich at a state or municipal level is that they'll move. But that's irrelevant if you tax people who already don't live in NYC. You even see people like Jason Calacanis trying to pull the "they'll flee NYC" line. It doesn't work here!

@kristenmag Actually, I don't think you could - nor do I think will he. What he'll do is say these things, then take 50% longer to do it at twice the price, with at best a tiny but probably no material benefit to anyone.

I, too, could open a city-run grocery store in NYC with lower prices for food than existing neighborhood grocery stores if I had $30 million in taxpayer dollars and no property taxes and reduced construction fees and favorable permitting and also the city would need to take away current subsidies from those existing grocery stores so they could subsidize my prices while manipulatively raising prices for my competition and oh yeah I’m also gonna need three years to build it. Ok cool, am I hired?
