Do not sleep on Demond Williams. Mentioned him on Locked on LSU last week. Kiffin/Weis recruited him out of high school and again when he left Arizona. Williams announced four days ago he was staying at UW, but now in portal. If Leavitt doesn’t work out, he’d have to be the target.

Ole Miss was clear: there was no scenario where a departing Kiffin would be allowed to coach the playoffs. He knew that and that’s why it got messy

Lot of differing takes out there on Lane Kiffin leaving Ole Miss for LSU, but one that is false is that he was getting a big raise to go to LSU. Ole Miss was prepared to pay him just as much and was also going to put together a similar financial package to help build a roster.

Kiffin, Sumrall, and Eric Morris are each taking jobs at new programs. All three are coaching playoff contenders. All three asked to continue coaching their current team. Tulane and UNT said yes. Ole Miss said no. If you’re outraged at only one coach, you’ve been manipulated.
