Yes students need rules, but even more so they need routines, boundaries, high expectations, and responsibilities. The first doesn't require relationships just enforcement, but the rest depend on a strong relationship to be effective.

A strengths-first mindset is going to be so important this year. Let’s focus on what our learners/athletes CAN do before focusing on what they can’t. The reality is that we won’t be able to address any of their weaknesses if we haven’t taken the time to find their strengths. 💪🏻

Engagement doesn’t always = entertainment. Sometimes, it’s simply about personal connections, a driving curiosity, or an opportunity to apply what is being learned. Engagement is a willingness to invest, it’s active and it’s the most essential part of the learning process.
