@tdhunter52 And I'm sure if you looked into the health code you'd find the relevant regulation. I worked at a Pizza Hut and we couldn't even freeze abandoned pizzas and give them to homeless shelters. But I was only addressing the reason for donuts.

I used to work for a coffee shop and we’d have to throw out food that was becoming “outdated.” Not spoiled, just past their sell date. We were not allowed to take this food home, even though we were throwing it out. If we took it home, we’d be fired. Still kind of crazy to me
