Magats are Our Nazis and I get that. Those who oppose them are Our Allies and I get that. I will never understand those that can't tell, or claim they can't tell, the difference. Neutrals in WWII at least had the excuse of fear of invasion. They have no such excuse.

Not really active here anymore. But lot of people who oppose Trump are still stuck in thinking, 'Trump's all powerful, he can do anything he wants, laws don't matter. Whah.' That's wussy talk. Not how you get in the spokes of someone like Trump, or function as any real opposition. Never self-womp.

@joshtpm If the GOP is determined to impose a dictatorship, they have all the levers of power needed to do so, and in that case only civil war can stop them. Now perhaps they are too incompetent or divided or cowardly to take advantage of that. We'll find out. But the threat is real.

There are bad policies on both sides of the fence. Friendships are too important to lose. The older you get the less friends people have as well. People move, have families etc.. Don't throw away good friends. They are hard to come by these days. You may regret the loss someday too. If these are people you felt were smart before the vote consider the possibility they might know something you don't right now. I wish the best for you and hope you don't do that.

@tdraicer @BaltimoreBanner Ted, Biden has been a (mostly) great President, but was a disastrous Presidential candidate. With hindsight, he should not have attempted a 2nd term, giving Dems the opportunity to run primaries for a successor. Likely things would have turned out differently. Raskin saw it.

i've wondered abt this before. there's at least an argument when u figure the death toll itself, relationship to ISIS, destabilization of Europe, role in global anti-immigration backlash.
