I've gotten to share the news with my family and close friends. TBH a lot of them don't really understand what this means. As a #firstgen student and a #GEDtoPhD earning tenure at an institution like UCLA is a dream, one my family supports but does not really understand. (7/7)

I am very happy to announce that I have been promoted to Associate Professor with Tenure at the @UCLA Department of Psychology! It's been a wonderful journey and I feel so grateful to have found a thriving academic home! And my partner gave me this fun gift! (1/6)
