@MarcoReps Does that suggest about a little over a microvolt to move one millimeter? It reminds me of the torsion balance experiment to measure gravity where a mirror is attached to deflect a light beam and it's projected onto a far wall to catch the tiny movement

@MarcoReps Yours sounds normal to me, the exhaust filter quiets the noise a great deal. The raspy gurgle is correct for one of these oil pumps pumping a medium vacuum before they reach high vacuum. I'd say the pump and your new oil is outgassing still. Try running the gas ballast for 10mins
This is not normal, is it? It has been in a shipping accident and never seems to stop gurgling. Final pressure seems okay but I fear it'll put out oil mist permanently
@MarcoReps Oil mist is the way of life with these pumps. Definitely worth the combination of a good oil mist filter and piping the exhaust outside 😶🌫️
