He claims, without evidence, that the people opposing his data center are being paid and/or "bussed in" from out of state. Who has the motive and money to do that? No one. These are ranchers, farmers, and local families with every right to ask what this project will do to their water, their air, and their land. Protecting Utah's resources isn't a partisan issue. Inventing a conspiracy instead of engaging with their concerns tells you everything about how much he actually respects the people of Utah.

Google Chrome is quietly downloading a roughly 4 GB AI model to many users’ computers without clear upfront consent.
The file, called weights.bin, is part of Google’s Gemini Nano on-device language model and lands in the browser’s user data folder under OptGuideOnDeviceModel.
It powers built-in AI tools such as “Help me write,” smarter tab suggestions, on-device scam detection, and page summarization. The download triggers automatically for devices meeting minimum hardware requirements, and Chrome often replaces the files if deleted.
While the model processes data locally, installation happens in the background with minimal notification.
The scale is noteworthy. Hundreds of millions or billions of installations add up to thousands of tonnes of carbon emissions globally from data transfer, even though each is a one-time event.
To prevent or remove it, go to chrome://flags, disable the entries for the optimization guide on-device model and Prompt API, restart the browser, and manually delete the folder.

Subnautica 2 development leads have confirmed the team is using zero generative AI across the entire project.
All elements, including creature behaviors and systems, are created through traditional hands-on work by the developers themselves using established tools like Unity Blackboard.
This way is different from the publisher Krafton which rebranded as an AI-first company last year and provides optional AI resources to its studios
But the Subnautica team said no. They think it would mess up their usual work.
"No, we're not using generative AI in Subnautica 2 at all. It's all traditional person-done. When we mention AI, it's all traditional: a programmer has physically gone in and done it themselves, like [the] creature AI.
We're using Unity Blackboard and things like that. It's basically all hand-done. It's interesting technology, but it's not something we're using at all."

Meta has begun rolling out software on U.S. employees’ work laptops that records mouse movements, clicks, keystrokes, and occasional screen snapshots.
The data collected will train AI systems, particularly autonomous agents designed to handle routine computer tasks such as navigating menus and using keyboard shortcuts.
Participation is mandatory for full-time employees and contingent workers on company devices, with tracking limited to approved work applications.
Meta states the information will be used exclusively for improving its AI models and not for performance evaluations.
