My Jack Russell, Jameson, was nearly 19 when he died in December, and it wasn’t a bone that killed him. “Bones are a good source of minerals and other nutrients and help satisfy your dog’s appetite. Chewing stimulates saliva enzymes and helps prevent plaque buildup on teeth and gum disease. And a dog chewing on a bone is less inclined to excessively scratch or lick their paws.”

@RedKingRuairi75 Love their dogs is the key. We have so many reserves around us that give the dogs all bones, heads, guts....Many die, they are not pets, just something to have. We now have people that go in and rescue the dogs and try to rehome them in Ontario.

@RedKingRuairi75 Don't you know, everyone is a veterinarian and know how to feed their pets. That's why they have health problems, swallow bones...I know people who caught a trout and threw it to their dog to eat. Dog died from the fish bones.

@lanechanged Show you care. Make them a little bag to take to their treatments. a book, chap stick, hand lotion, snacks, a puzzle book, pen writing pad, lap blanket. Also make them small meals that can be pulled out of the freezer. CALL them, visit them. Talk about how they are. RESEARCH
