"We will award 10% of the value of each Hotels.com Rewards stamp collected in OneKeyCash" .... so, to rephrase that.... 'because Expedia took over hotels.com, consumers lost *90%* of their rewards"

🥬MongoDB Parent Document Retriever The fact that @MongoDB is a full-fledged document store, with its own query language, makes it perfect for more advanced retrieval techniques like "Parent Document Retrieval" - so we added a template to get started easily 👨‍👨‍👦Parent Document Retrieval is a retrieval technique where you first create larger "parent" documents, and then create smaller "child" chunks for each of those documents. You then create embeddings for all of the CHILD chunks 🔎During retrieval, you first look up semantically similar child chunks. The fact that you are looking up smaller chunks helps find the most relevant chunks 📃The issue with looking up smaller chunks, is that if you pass those directly to the LLM they may lack the necessary context. Parent Document Retriever overcomes this by passing NOT the child chunks, but instead the parent documents, to the LLM s/o @zhanghaili0610 for this awesome diagram Check out the full 🦜🏗️ @MongoDB LangChain Template for an easy way to get started with this: github.com/langchain-ai/l…

The employees at OpenAI just lost billions of dollars in secondary share sales that were about to happen at a $90b valuation — that’s over. Done. I think OpenAI will lose half their employees, the 12-18 month lead, and 90% of their valuation in 2024. Just insane value destruction

It has to be said that the experience of working with Google Ads is SO MUCH WORSE than Instagram Ads, Facebook Ads, Amazon Ads, Twitter Ads... the entire interface looks like it was outsourced for $75

In software engineering, there's what people think of as "docs" and then there's "the information I needed to debug that thing that took to days of my life." The second thing is different and should be called something other than "documentation." But what should we call it?
